The Messiah Cometh: The Klaus Schwab Interview (Part 2)
King Charles III, Chimeras and Damned Lies.
Following our first interview with Professor Sir Klaus at his residence in Cologny Geneva, the eminent Professor gave us a grand tour around the wonderful Fondation Martin Bodmer Museum designed by architect Mario Botta, which houses rare books and art pieces; Egyptian papyrus, Roman Coins and cryptic hand-written manuscripts are amongst some of those artefacts which populate the collection.
We have a spectacular lunch served up by an extraordinarily diligent waiter; Diligent almost to a fault, bearing the most striking appearance- a set of horns growing out of his head.
"That is Baphy our loyal servant who identifies as Baphomet, the neutered half man-half goat." Sir Klaus then lowers his voice "He constantly craves approval and is ready to serve day or night. He's without any shadow of doubt the best butler I've ever had. Of course we have had to take certain measures to accommodate his physical attributes, such as increasing door heights." he smiles.
How did he grow the horns? I asked.
We are experts in editing humans.
Ah yes, of course I should have anticipated your answer. Your family have been tinkering with all kinds of technologies these past 150 years, in companies such as Escher-Wyss. Your capabilities and indeed your accomplishments are quite boundless Sir Schwab. I'm fascinated by your long list of honours. If I might read out a brief list:
Grand Cross and Star of the National Order of Germany.
Japanese Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun.
French Knighthood Legion of Honour.
The Dan David Prize (Awarded by Tel Aviv University $300,000 for outstanding contribution to historical studies.)
and last but not least:
Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (from the late Queen Elizabeth II).
This rollcall is truly breathtaking. How did you manage to achieve all those honours?
A man such as myself naturally accrues accolades. It is the nature of things is it not?
Yes indeed. I said, feeling rather foolish for having asked. Tell us more about your relationship with Prince Charles. Are you well acquainted?
Yes well we naturally have many common interests and have met at countless international events. We move in the same circles. He is a marvellous proponent of the Green Agenda and that is so valuable to us here at that World Economic Forum. Of course his mother gave me a knighthood so that helped to warm relations somewhat, he laughs.
Haha. I loved the virtual crowning of Prince Charles in Davos January 2020- The image of a crown floating over his head. It was spectacular.
Yes it was quite sublime. We like to do things with panache.
You certainly do that. You talk about your relationships with world leaders such as Macron, Trudeau, Merkel, Varadkar and many others. In fact they've all been through a kind of academy you started. Tell us more about that.
Yes the Young Global Leaders. I started that in 2004 to accelerate the impact of a diverse community of responsible leaders across borders and sectors to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future.
Wow. I love it. How does it work?
We take 100 people every year from places all over the world and give them ideas on how to get things moving in a direction that we feel is the right one for the planet. And for humans of course.
Of course. And YGL(TM) has been incredibly successful. You said that you "penetrated the cabinets" of many governments around the world. It's extraordinary how you've been able to do that.
Well, money talks as they say. He smiles. Money can buy you all kinds of influence, so it's just a matter of putting the right money in the right places to get the right people.
That's an interesting concept: Getting people.
Yes and it obviously it has nothing whatsoever to do with slavery which was a horrific and barbaric practise that is rightfully outmoded in modern society.
Yes. We don't want to go back to a society like that do we?
No we don't. Definitely not.
That reminds me of the terrible lies being spread on the internet about your father being a celebrated Nazi industrialist who used forced labour to produce all kinds of weapons for the war effort.
Yes indeed. There is absolutely no evidence that my father was a friend of Adolf Hitler as is claimed by hordes of fringe lunatics on the internet. He was a businessman. End of story. Yes the company got a commendation from the National Socialist Party but that just demonstrates that they were good at what they did.
There are so many fake stories about you Sir Schwab that it's hard to know where to start. There are accusations of you awarding yourself a position on the board of USWeb in 1998, obtaining lucrative stock options after the non-profit WEF awarded them a large contract.
Yes, that's nothing more than preposterous vile slander. If USWeb corporation wanted to give me a seat on their board that's entirely up to them. I was hardly going to stop them.
Baphy comes in with a telephone for Sir Schwab, informing him that he has an urgent call from the Bank of International Settlements in Basel. Sir Schwab graciously asks me if we can resume our chat later.
“Of course” I said.
Tune in for Part 3 soon.
