Voluntary Suicide Initiative
The Global Institute for Voluntary Death & Self-Harm has issued open invitations to anyone wishing to “finalise their existence with dignity.”
Death has become more fashionable since 2020.
A new initiative by the GIVDSH aims to help those with life dissatisfaction to consider an alternative solution. “The impulse to terminate one’s life quickly represents a tremendous opportunity to help society and the planet progress.” said John Bleedmore, an advisor to the World Economic Forum which is leading the charge on their new Mass Death Initiative.
“The response has been overwhelming. We’ve had to order in tens of thousands of extra coffins. We can’t get enough.” said Bleedmore. While the initiative is progressing better than anyone could have imagined, the programme has had many challenges; These include rapidly training staff in waste disposal, truck driving, furnace operations and composting.
Another issue is “corporeal evacuation”; “We are asking volunteers to fast for 24 - 48 hours before termination so that we don’t have to do as much cleanup work. We would recommend eating a bag of dates and drinking plenty of water.” Bleedmore says he loves his job and the smile on his face says it all. “I have to say I’m so grateful to the many wonderful people who got involved. Their efforts to help the planet and their fellow humans will not be forgotten. Our Volunteer names are posted on our Twitter and Instagram feeds hourly so that they can be remembered in perpetuity. We’re pushing a couple of hashtags to include on Instagram and Twitter feeds such as #doitforgreta and #deathaintsobad .
Harari sees the new GIVDSH initiative as a way to “prune the tree of humanity and allow the elite to realise their manifest destiny.” Harari finds it hard to contain his enthusiasm for the project. “Sometimes my excitement is too much. It keeps me awake at night just thinking about it. ”
